Doesn’t that sound like something you want to be a part of?! That’s the vision of our church and it’s what we strive to achieve. It’s essentially a summary of what the early church got up to in Acts 2:42-47. We recognize there’s no way we can achieve it through Sunday services alone. That’s where Connect Groups come in! Through a combination of worshipping together corporately and meeting together in smaller groups we can learn together, fellowship together, break bread, pray, see the Holy Spirit move in miraculous ways, share with each other, care for each other, as well as those in need, praise God, and enjoy each other’s company.
Connect Groups come in all shapes & sizes to make this happen: From groups of young and old that meet weekly or fortnightly for bible & faith studies together, groups of mums who get together in the week while their kids play, to groups of guys who get together to chop down trees for people, and more! If a Connect Group encourages fulfilling some of the aspects of our church vision then we’re all for it!
To make this happen, we break our Connect Groups into two categories:
Interest Connect Groups are a great point of connection for anyone! Into cycling? We've got a group for that! Into craft? We've got a group for that! Into books? We've got a group for that! You get the picture. Basically, if you've got a hobby or interest we may have a group of others who are into that too who you can connect with! Or, if not, you could start a group based on that interest yourself!
We also think Interest Connect Groups are a great first point of connection if you aren't so sure about Christianity yet or know someone else who feels that way.
Our Connect Groups is where church becomes family. Groups of people who gather together to share meals, care for each other, pray together, study the Bible, and more! Essentially trying to live out the way Christians ought to which we see in Acts 2:42-47. If you're looking for a deeper spiritual connection with others, we reckon you'll find it here.
